Debi Lorenc is an artist who practices neo-Coptic iconography; a photographer; a jeweler; and a partner and manager of design projects at Black & White Design in Silicon Valley. She is also an oblate connected with the Benedictine community of San Vincenzo al Volturno in Italy, and like her husband Chris, is a member of the Ventana Wilderness Alliance.
Chris Lorenc is a writer and teacher focused on wilderness as a spiritual practice. He is an oblate with New Camaldoli Hermitage in Big Sur, a member of the Four Winds Council (a cooperative association comprised of New Camaldoli, Esalen Institute, the Esselen Tribe, and Tassajara Zen Mountain Center), and a board member of the Henry Miller Library.
Together, Debi and Chris have created Red Egg Gallery, an on-line center for art that deepens our connection with wisdom traditions around the world. They divide their time between San José, California, and Big Sur.
